Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using PYP – Pick Your Pic ("PYP", "the app") at pyp.digital, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
2. What PYP is
PYP is a free web application that lets you:
- Scan and digitize printed photographs using your device's camera or by uploading an image.
- Apply AI-powered restoration to improve old or damaged photos.
- Save restored photos to your personal Google Photos account or download them to your device.
- Keep a local gallery of scanned photos in your browser.
3. Your content
You retain full ownership of any photos you scan or upload through PYP. By using the AI restoration feature, you authorize PYP to transmit your photo to Replicate (our AI processing provider) solely for the purpose of applying the restoration. This is a one-time processing operation; neither PYP nor Replicate acquires any rights to your photos.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to use and process any photos you submit through the app.
4. Google services
PYP integrates with Google Sign-In and Google Photos. Your use of these services is also governed by Google's Terms of Service. PYP only requests the minimum permissions necessary: we only add photos to your library — we never read, modify or delete your existing Google Photos content.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use PYP to:
- Upload photos you do not have the right to use or share.
- Submit content that is illegal, harmful, or violates any third party's rights.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, disrupt or abuse the service or its underlying APIs.
- Use the service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations.
6. Availability and changes
PYP is provided free of charge and on an "as available" basis. We may modify, suspend or discontinue the service at any time without notice. We may also update these terms at any time; continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated terms.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
PYP is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that AI restoration will meet your expectations. Photo restoration results depend on the quality of the original image and the AI model used.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PYP and its developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to loss of data or unsatisfactory restoration results. Since your photos are processed locally and never stored on our servers, the risk of data loss on our end is essentially zero.

PYP relies on the following third-party services, each governed by their own terms:

10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Uruguay. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Uruguay.
